To gather Chinese strength and promote Confucian culture, Shandong Lisheng Group invited renowned calligraphers and painters to hold a Confucius Mansion couplet exhibition.
At the start of the new year, on the morning of 3 January, the “Lisheng Spirit — Confucius Mansion Couplets and Zhang Yanyun Calligraphy & Painting Exhibition,” hosted by Shandong Lisheng Group, opened as scheduled, at a time when the nation was promoting the Chinese Dream and Confucian culture.
On the purpose of hosting the event, Chairman Gao Fengguo said: as a leading provincial food-processing enterprise, while providing society with healthy, safe food, Lisheng has a responsibility to promote Confucian culture and positive energy, offering the city’s people a spiritual feast and giving back to society — contributing to the great development of culture and to the revival of the Chinese Dream. He added that Lisheng would use the exhibition as a starting point to hold similar events, integrating the essence of Confucian culture into a distinctive corporate culture while upholding its mission of “doing work that benefits people’s lives” and continuing to contribute healthy, safe food.
The invited artist Zhang Yanyun (styled Tianbai, sobriquet Ziyizhai) is Vice President of the China National Calligraphy and Painting Academy and a visiting professor at Renmin University and Fudan University, with many national honours. His exhibition compiled over 180 works — a rare cultural vehicle for promoting the Confucian spirit — attended by more than 500 people including calligraphers, artists, journalists and figures from all sectors. The exhibition set a good example in promoting Confucian culture and positive energy and drew a strong social response. The event was a complete success.
