On 7 May 2020, at its weekly Thursday production-management meeting, Shandong Lisheng Group’s Wenshang company held an incentive-payout ceremony for the noodle workshop’s April over-production. Having exceeded its April output target by 15%, the noodle plant was rewarded 5,260 yuan.
At the ceremony, the noodle plant took on a new over-production challenge for May, signing a challenge agreement with General Manager Chen Qingsong, while plant head Zheng Wei made a statement of commitment. On the spot, the workshop’s employee representatives enthusiastically pledged together to be confident of exceeding the target by another 10 percent.
